Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye, former Minister of Women Affairs, has turned to social media to announce her attendance in court to defend a five-year-old child who was allegedly sexually molested by her teacher.
This comes only a month after President Bola Tinubu removed her from office as part of a significant cabinet restructuring in which four ministers left.
Kennedy-Ohaneye, a lawyer and women’s rights champion reaffirmed her commitment to working for a better society and ending all types of violence against vulnerable Nigerians, particularly children, in a post on X on Monday.
She stated her strong desire for justice and her drive to resist horrible acts like the one she represented in court. She stated, “I am still devoted to working for a better Better society. My commitment to justice is unshakable, and I will not accept any sort of abuse, particularly against vulnerable Nigerians, including children. “Today, I handled a heartbreaking case involving a five-year-old child who was sexually molested by her instructor. This tragedy has strengthened my desire to oppose such awful atrocities.
“To anyone who would dare to commit such atrocities, let this serve as a warning. “I will relentlessly pursue justice in my capacity.”
With her post, Kennedy-Ohaneye sent a stern warning to anybody who would dare to commit such crimes, stating that she would persistently pursue justice in her role.
