On Tuesday, President Bola Tinubu sent a tribute to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari on his 82nd birthday.
Dear President Muhammadu Buhari. On behalf of the government and the people of Nigeria, I send my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes on your 82nd birthday.
“As you commemorate this historic occasion in Daura, we reflect on your years of committed service and leadership, which have greatly influenced the history of our country.
“Your steadfast commitment to Nigeria’s advancement and unity inspires many, and your enduring legacy continues to guide our nation’s journey towards prosperity and stability,” he said.
He lauded Buhari for his doggedness and resilience in contesting presidential elections in 2003, 2007, and 2011 before winning them in 2015 and 2019 also inspiring “us never to give up.”
“As the head of our nation’s first All Progressives Congress administration, you left a legacy of infrastructure that I will continue to build upon.
“On this special day, may you be surrounded by the love of your family and friends and continue to enjoy good health, happiness, and fulfillment in all your endeavors, both now and in the future.”
“Happy Birthday, and thank you for your services to Nigeria,” the President ended.
