Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and producer, has replied to criticism from a worried netizen, who questioned her decision to wear a ring on her “marriage finger” despite her divorce.
The netizen, known as @OriretanHonour on X, suggested that the actress should not continue to wear the ring because it may dissuade future suitors.
He wrote, “Funke, it’s foolish to continue wearing a ring on your marriage finger knowing you’re divorced. Even worse, it might drive away your future husband. Little things matter now that you’re still famous, beautiful, and wealthy. Consider your public actions. Remove the ring immediately. You need a male in your life as soon as possible. In response, Akindele dismissed the concern, saying her priority is financial stability.
“I need money! That’s the koko,” she wrote.
Funke Akindele has been married and divorced twice.
She married her first husband, Mr. Oloyede, on May 26, 2012, but the couple divorced in July 2013 due to irreconcilable differences. Her second marriage to JJC Skillz ended in 2022 after they welcomed twins together.
