Andy Ogles, a Republican House member, sponsored legislation that would allow US President Donald Trump to pursue a third term in office.
On Thursday, Ogles introduced the resolution, claiming that Trump has proven himself to be the only figure in contemporary history capable of reversing the country’s decline and restoring American glory.
Please keep in mind that the United States Constitution prohibits anyone from being elected to the presidency more than twice.
In his declaration to revise this, Ogles stated that no one shall be elected to the office of President more than three times. He has proven himself to be the only man in contemporary history capable of reversing our country’s decline and restoring America’s glory. He must be allowed enough time to complete that task.
“We must equip Trump with every resource he requires to reverse the destructive course established by the Biden administration.
“He is committed to restoring the republic and saving our country, and we, as legislators and states, must do everything in our ability to assist him.
“I am proposing an amendment to the Constitution to revise the limitations imposed by the 22nd Amendment on presidential terms.”
