
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kwara State has strengthened its operational organization by establishing seven new Area Commands and eleven Divisions across the state’s sixteen local government areas.
Area I (Lafiagi), Area J (Oke-Oyi), Area K (Agbabiaka), Area L (Patigi), Area M (Kaoama), Aea N (Share), and Area O (Ilemona) are the newly established Area Commands, while Divisions are located in Alagbado, Jebba, Kpada, Ilupeju, Shonga, Tsaragi, Oro, Bacita, Lade, Agbabiaka, and Amayo.
Dr. Umar Muhammed, the state commandant of the NSCDC, stated in a statement signed by the Corps public relations officer, Ayoola Michael, that the creation of the new Area Commands and Divisions was approved by the NSCDC’s Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Audi.
He stated that the development is part of the NSCDC’s continued efforts to meet its primary mandates and legislative responsibilities, with the goal of improving operational effectiveness and service delivery across the state.
