President Bola Tinubu has given the military marching orders to end banditry and general insecurity by the end of 2025.
Abubakar Badaru, Minister of Defence, revealed this in a viral video.
Following Tinubu’s directive, Badaru stated that the military will continue its campaign against bandits and other sorts of criminality.
The Minister stated that the bandits are currently on the run, and that the military would not stop until they are all apprehended.
According to Badaru, “The bandits are currently on the run, but the military will not rest until this is over. The president has given us marching instructions to eliminate instability in every corner of our country before the end of the year.
“The Chief of Defence Staff and the NSA are working day and night to achieve that goal; as you can see, we are putting pressure on all theatre activities.
“And fact, mining activities in Zamfara have already been lifted, and this is part of the reason we are here today to look at all places where we have major security challenges and how best those areas can be secured.
