Nigerian artist Habeeb Okikiola, well known as Portable, has spoken out as the Ogun State government seals his unfinished building and hotel in Sango-Ota for unlawful development.
The Ogun State Planning and Development Authority shut the homes, according to the notice of infringement released on Instagram by the ‘Zazu’ crooner.
Portable said that during the property sealing, around 20 of his clients and employees were detained.
He further alleged that the alcoholic beverages in his establishment were confiscated during the raid.
He wrote, “I believe in Eledumare.” Nobody can deceive me, Omo Olohun. They jammed everyone, including around 20 artists and customers, as well as vehicles, motorcycles, phones, and jobs. Everyone who came to help was packed and sealed in my new unfinished building and hotel. Why? In my hometown, they packed all of the alcohol we were selling at Odowgu Bar and Food since we didn’t fight back. Why? The government should look into this.I’m utilizing this location to plan events and shows, not just beverages. I am promoting and assisting folks here. The government should inquire, and I put light everywhere, and before the government came for road repairs, I called them to help us. Why will they do this at my property, which I am using to feed my family? They later came and attacked me where I was, but God is greater than them.” The Ogun State Planning and Development Authority has yet to respond to the allegations.
