Ancelotti reveals pecking order of Real Madrid’s penalty takers

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid’s manager, has verified the penalty takers’ pecking order.

According to Ancelotti, Vinicius Junior is the chosen taker, followed by Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham.

The Blancos have struggled from the spot this season, prompting doubts about who should be trusted with the task of stepping up from 12 yards.

Mbappe, who is presently the club’s No.9, was anticipated to take on that role once he arrived in Spain.

The Frenchman has four penalties for Real this season but missed two in a row against Liverpool and Athletic Club.

Bellingham has also converted from the spot this season, although he struck the post against Valencia at the beginning of January.

Vinicius has been more consistent, scoring on all four of his penalties in 2024-25, earning him the nod from his management.

When questioned about the final rankings, Ancelotti said, “Vinicius, Mbappe, and Bellingham.”

Mbappe scored from the spot after grabbing a double for Real in their 4-1 win against Las Palmas, alongside Vinicius serving a two-match ban following his red card against Valencia.
