Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s manager, has moved rapidly in the January transfer window to boost his team.

The Premier League winners are on the verge of signing talented defender Abdukodir Khusanov.

Fabrizio Romano, a football transfer guru, confirmed this on Friday via X.

According to Romano, City’s agreement with RC Lens is nearing completion, with personal conditions already agreed upon.

“Pep Guardiola provided his own green light.

“As we exclusively reported 10 days ago, he is the major target, and the deal with RC Lens is already in the final phases. “Khusanov agreed to personal terms because he wants to move,” Romano tweeted.

The Uzbekistan international is seen as a bright talent, with Guardiola looking to reinforce City’s defense with young players.

Omar Marmoush has agreed in principle to join Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt, pending mutual permission.

The Bundesliga club is asking for around £67 million (€80 million) for the 25-year-old Egyptian, with negotiations likely to begin this week.

An opening bid might occur as early as this weekend.

Marmoush wants the transfer since he knows he is Guardiola’s top target.
