Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand believes Marcus Rashford has no future at the club anymore.
According to Ferdinand, it’s embarrassing as there’s no way back for Rashford to return to the Red Devils’ team.
Rashford has been heavily linked with a move away from Man United this January transfer window.
The England international has fallen out of favour with Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim.
He has not played for Amorim’s side since being left out of the matchday squad against Manchester City in December.
However, Ferdinand feels Rashford will be unable to return to Manchester United’s first squad following Amorim’s comments.
He stated on his YouTube account (via talkSPORT):
“If I were the player about whom the manager made such a statement, my heart, pride, and ego would be embarrassed.
“For someone to doubt your application, to question your willingness to give your all for the team, to accuse you of lacking effort and using shortcuts, is a damaging statement.
“There is no going back for Marcus after that. If he comes back, other players can take their foot off the gas and have a way back into the team and take shortcuts.”
