Jorge Mendes advises Barcelona star to follow Ronaldo’s foot-step

Jorge Mendes, a Portuguese agent, has instructed Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal to follow in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo, his football idol.

Yamal has performed admirably for both his club and his nation this season.

The 17-year-old earned the 2024 Golden Boy Award, which is granted to the world’s greatest young football player.

“I don’t like to make comparisons, but without a doubt, Cristiano is a good example to follow, not only for Lamine but for all young people,” Mendes told Tuttosport.

“If he follows his example on and off the pitch, he will surely be at the top of world football in the next 20 years.”

Ronaldo, 39, has won five Ballon d’Or awards in his career so far.

The Portugal international currently plays for Al-Nassr.
