Rivers Angels, a Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) club, has named Tosan Blackson as its new head coach.
Blackson has been tasked with winning the championship for the Port Harcourt team.
It claims that Rivers Angels won their previous title three years ago, whereas Delta Queens and Edo Queens have emerged as victors in the last two years.
Taiwo Afolabi, Fatima Oloko, Anderline Mgbechi, Yusuf Nana, Aweda Titilayo, and Saka Sadiat have all joined the club’s roster.
The Port Harcourt club recently unveiled its new uniforms for the coming season.
Rivers Angels will begin their NWFL season on Saturday against Ibom Angels at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
