According to the All Progressives Congress (APC), President Bola Tinubu is politically ahead of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, and Labour Party (LP) leader Peter Obi.
APC National Publicity Director Bala Ibrahim declared that Kwankwaso, Obi, and Obasanjo do not constitute a danger to Tinubu.
He made the comment when dismissing the meeting of Kwankwaso, Donald Duke, and Obasanjo.

Kwankwaso stated that the meeting was a courtesy call during which major talks on national problems impacting Nigerian politics and governance took place.
However, Ibrahim viewed the encounter as insignificant, emphasizing Tinubu’s political significance and influence.
According to Ibrahim, the combination of Obasanjo, Kwankwaso, and Duke’s forces cannot produce a significant conclusion.
He stated: “But when it comes to Nigerian politics, particularly modern politics, Tinubu is not their friend.
“In Nigerian politics today, Tinubu stands head and shoulders above the others. So the combo of Obasanjo, Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, and my schoolmate Donald Duke does not pose a challenge to Tinubu. These are people who were trashed in the last election.
“So they can have marathon meetings and meet till the end of time, but they will not present any threat to the government of APC. Who among Kwankwaso, Obasanjo, Obi, and Duke was not beaten? If they are bringing angels, it’s a different story.”
